Hi

First all all, thank you for this GREAT program !!

I use 2 virtual xp in vmliteworktation : MyOldPC and a fresh XP from the Microsoft web site.

I have 2 problems :

1 : With my old PC, I cannot connect the drives (shared folders) of my win 7 (32bit) computer. I have no problem doing this with the XP mode image.
If I eject the myoldpc image, I can go to preferences and add shared folder but once I launch my old pc, the setting are reset to : shared drives : none... (in XP Mode I have 8) I tried the Cmd "net use H: \\.host\sfs" with no luck

I tried to deleted myoldpc image in hope that starting anew would allow me to set the shared drive but I have this message when I try : "Cannot suppress virtual machine - Cannot unregister the machine "PC" because it has 1 snapshot" and if I try to delete the snapshot I get "Error cannot suppress snapshot : Hardisk "D:\myoldpc\pc.vmdk has more than one child hard disk(3)"

All this seem too complicated for me !

2 : Problem with the mouse : with the the MS XP mode, no problems but with the myoldpc image, the mouse stop in some part of the screen and refuse to move further right of the scren untill you "shake" the mouse several time....In MS XPmode, I can right click the mouse icon (in the right bottom) (but don't need to do it) but in myoldpc the mouse icon is greyed so I cannot change anything...

I hope this is clear enough as I'm french speaking....

Thank you for your help

Did you install VMLite Guest Additions to the MyOldPCs vm? You have to do it manually, whereas VMLite XP Mode vm automatically installs the guest additions.

When vm is running, go to Menu Devices > Install Guest Additions ...

Thank you for your reply

When I click "install guest additions" nothing seems to happen, same if I push HOST + D

Is this normal ?

can you check if you see CDROM inside vm?

if not, you can configure your CD/DVD to point to VMLite Guest Additions.iso, which is in c:\program files\VMLite\VMLite Workstation

OK, I found the disc with to guest additions, I executed the setup.exe then rebooted xp and then it asked me for a logon with the user name "ASPNET" which I ignore, so I had nothing to do than closing the application...

Is there a manual/faq somewhere for this guestadditions exe ?

Then in VMlite workstation I tried to relaunch MyOldPc snapshot and I got this message :

I the tried to suppress the wholeMyOldPc image in the Workstation but got again the message I told you about in my first post..

Things are getting worse !

As I just did a copy of my whole HDD, I restored all the files and its working as before now (but still without access to the drives and the mouse problem)

I also executed again Guestaddition which asked me for a name and password to logon then rebooted xp the again the same window asking for a password for user ASPNET (tried of course the name and password I gave at the end of the installation of Guestaddition.exe but no luck). In the bottom right corner of the window it was showing a message that this copy of XP has to be activated...
